On January 29th in a Taiwanese city, people were going about their daily business as usual, unaware of the cruel fate that was quickly approaching.
You wake up in the morning, take your shower, head off towards work, and the next thing you know, your covered in blood and guts, smelling worse than the garbage bag you put out to the curb in the morning. This could happen to you, and did to some unlucky people.
A flatbed truck was driving through the city trying to deliver its load to a research center near the southwestern city of Tainan. All of a sudden, there was a loud noise, the truck stopped, and the people on the street are dumbfounded; and covered in the guts and blood of a SPERM WHALE
"Because of the natural decomposing process, a lot of gases accumulated, and when the pressure built up was too great, the whale`s belly exploded," Professor Wang Chien-ping, of the National Cheng Kung University in Tainan said earlier.
Professor Wang also said initial observation showed the whale to be an older bull and that its weight of 50 tons and 17 meter length made it the largest whale ever recorded in Taiwan.
The whale had beached itself earlier that day and died before help could attend. Reserchers were going to do an autopsy on the whale to find out what cause this tragic death and ordered it be delivered to their center.
